Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan met with the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities
Today, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov received OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities Kairat Abdrakhmanov, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the parties noted that in recent years Uzbekistan's interaction with the OSCE and its institutions has significantly intensified and reached a qualitatively new level.
The High Commissioner highly appreciated the policy pursued in the country to ensure interethnic harmony and tolerance, as well as the expansion of cultural-enlightenment ties with foreign countries. It was noted that the policy of good neighborliness of Uzbekistan in Central Asia plays a positive role in strengthening friendship and mutual understanding between the peoples and ethnic groups of the region.
Kairat Abdrakhmanov emphasized that all the necessary conditions have been created in Uzbekistan for studying, working, showing the creative abilities and potential of representatives of all nations and nationalities. He welcomed that strengthening the atmosphere of interethnic harmony and religious tolerance in society is one of the priority goals of the implementation of the Development Strategy of the New Uzbekistan for 2022-2026.
The parties expressed their readiness for the progressive development of mutually beneficial relations on all issues of mutual interest.
