Samarkand Forum will serve to unite the world’s youth
Samarkand Web Forum on Human Rights “Youth 2020: Global Solidarity, Sustainable Development and Human Rights”, organized in Uzbekistan on the occasion of International Youth Day, has completed its work.
On the second day of the forum, the participants of the third and fourth plenary sessions heard reports on certain themes and took part in discussions.
Reports were heard on “Human Rights Education” and “Youth’s Role in Peace and Security: Visions for a Safer Future Towards 2030”.
Recommendations were developed for analyzing international experience in education, youth rights and improving their literacy in this matter.
The youth focused on the essence of human rights education, as well as on such current issues as development of international cooperation in this area, creation of modern programs in legal education, development of proposals and recommendations designed for implementation in the national, regional and international scale.
Following the forum, Samarkand Resolution on Youth Rights was adopted.
